I can't believe it's been over 3 weeks since I last posted. Sheesh. I'm getting into gear and starting the run in earnest toward finals. Work's been busy, school's been really busy, and generally, being at least a little more diligent at the latter than last year has resulted in a little more time devoted to school... and a little less time for everything else.
I'll write more later.
In the meantime, I've put together some flashcards (still to be reviewed by my study partners) to start preparing for the closed book criminal law final. PDF and HTML located here. The Tinderbox file is there as well, but it's pretty basic. I'm still getting the hang linking and stuff, and really started out butching some fo the descriptions of my links. The original plan, of course, is to have cross-references on the cards based on the links.
I used Tinderbox to lay everything out, though I largely ended up ignoring the map view (which I originally thought would be useful) and sticking to the outline view. I then exported to HTML, ran through Markdown, which pretty closely matched most of the simple formatting my text already had, then I shoved that into an HTML shell with some very simple CSS (which you can see in the directory) and printed to PDF in Safari (because Firefox seemed unwilling to let me set my desired page size.)
After some hassle, I seem to have everything happy for the very basic format here. Which is really enough (for now) to get me through crim and the other classes I want. You can see what the printed 4x6 cards will look like from the PDF.
